Haymount was originally built in the late 1700's but has been extended and modernised over the years and we have opened our Bed & Breakfast business in one side of the house.
We are located in the very pretty Borders village of Birgham, just a short 5 minute stroll through rolling countryside to the River Tweed, one of the great salmon rivers of Great Britain.
Birgham is situated on the A698 which is ideally placed for easy access to many Borders towns, the Northumberland coast and is just one hour's drive from Edinburgh. The village is lucky enough to have its own highly regarded pub - The Fisherman's Arms - which provides food, refreshments and a warm welcome to visitors.
With Coldstream 4 miles to the East and Kelso 5 miles to the West, you will find plenty of historic sites, first rate golf courses and great places to eat and drink within a very short drive.
